Asmir Begovic

CURRENT CLUB: Stoke City (England)

Asmir Begovic took over as the starting goalkeeper for Stoke City in 2010 and has been one of the best at his position since. He started all 10 of Bosnia and Herzegovina's World Cup qualifiers.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA NATIONAL TEAM

Begovic appeared with Canada's under-20 national team 11 times before switching allegiances to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2009. Since then he has registered over 25 caps at the senior international level.

CLUB CAREER

Starting his career with Portsmouth, Begovic was loaned out five different times over five seasons before signing with Stoke. He was named the Stoke City Player of the Year in 2013.
