Laba is considered one of the best holding midfielders in MLS. The Argentine is a fixture in Vancouver's lineup and his passing and ability to do the dirty work in the middle of the field makes him an invaluable member of his team. He's started over 30 games and logged over 2500 regular season minutes each of the last three years, and has contributed two goals and two assists in his MLS career thus far.

INTERNATIONAL: Laba played for Argentina at the 2011 U-20 World Cup, featuring in five games at the tournament.

OUTSIDE MLS: Prior to joining Toronto FC in 2013, Laba made 72 appearances across all competitions for Argentinos Juniors, winning the 2010 Clausura title with the club. He played for Argentinos Juniors in the 2011 Copa Libertadores. Laba also won the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship with the Whitecaps, the club's first such title.
