The 29 year old Imperiale signed Imperiale to boost their backline for the 2016 season, as they hope to return to the playoffs after missing out in 2015.

OUTSIDE MLS: Imperiale has played in the top divisions of Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Cyprus and Bolivia since making his professional debut in 2005. He comes to San Jose from Costa Rican power Deportivo Saprissa after helping the club win the winter championship in December.
