Option declined following 2017 season.

The first signing in Atlanta United FC history, Tambakis joins the team from Panathinaikos. He played for the Charleston Battery during the 2016 season.

OUTSIDE MLS: Tambakis signed a professional contract with Panathinaikos in 2010 and was promoted to the first team squad in 2011. While there and on loan at Niki Volos he gained valuable international playing experience in a top European division.
