Wizards to hold free event at Kansas City Zoo

Sunday, September 30, the Kansas City Wizards will host an exciting opportunity for fans to GET CLOSE to the entire squad, as every player is scheduled to attend a season ticket holder event from 3:30 - 7 p.m. at the Kansas City Zoo in Swope Park. Wizards season ticket holders can enter the Zoo for free after 3 p.m.

"We are very happy to partner with the Kansas City Zoo, our neighbors at Swope Park, for this season ticket holder event," Vice President of Sales Todd Adams said. "Any fan can come out early and interact with the players at the Zoo, and our season ticket holders will be able to experience the after-hours party with our players and staff."

Beginning at 3:30 p.m., players will be spread throughout the animal exhibits in pairs to sign autographs and take pictures with Zoo patrons and Wizards fans until the normal closing at 5 p.m. Then, from 5 - 7 p.m., the Wizards will hold a special season ticket holder only event under a tent just inside the main gate. Appetizers and drinks will be provided free of charge, and a cash bar will be available. DJ Soap will provide the music as a magician and face-painters entertain.

"This party is another example of the organization's commitment to its season ticket holders," Executive Vice President Greg Cotton said. "From special giveaways to merchandise discounts to lower ticket rates to events like this one at the Zoo, the Kansas City Wizards offer great additional value to our loyal fans."

The Wizards will take deposits for 2008 season ticket packages beginning Thursday, September 27 at the match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy.
