The Kansas City Wizards and Metro Sports are proud to announce the five winners of the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City contest. Several hundred girls tried out at various Wizards events around the city, including Wizards games, soccer tournaments and the premiere of the movie Gracie at AMC Town Center 20. Contestants were judged based on soccer skills, their comfort level in front of the camera and their answers to Wizards-related questions.
The five winners of the Miss Soccer Kansas City contest will have the unique opportunity to participate in a variety of events and appearances throughout the 2007 season, including segments on Metro Sports, community service activities and Wizards home game appearances.
The winners of the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City contest are:
Kristin Sweeney - Age 17
Holly Reynolds - Age 13
Maddie Rumbo - Age 12
Lauren Brown - Age 11
Ada Throckmorton - Age 11
All five girls will be introduced at halftime of the Wizards game on Sunday, July 1. All girls who auditioned for Miss Soccer Kansas City will receive two free tickets to the Wizards game on Saturday, July 14. Further details on this will be emailed next week.
