RSL Rewind: Findley Forges Ahead in RSL's First Win of 2007
A two-goal effort by newly-acquired FW Robbie Findley would lift Real Salt Lake to its first win of the 2007 regular season, the rookie's brace leading RSL to a 2-1 triumph over visiting D.C. United in front of 16,319 fans last Saturday evening at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The three-point result snapped RSL's 15-match winless streak that dated back to last September, while also ending the seven-game undefeated streak for a red-hot D.C. United squad. Findley's pair of strikes in his RSL debut made him the 11th player in MLS history to score multiple goals in his first match with a new team, which he joined just two days after Real Salt Lake acquired him and D/M Nathan Sturgis in a trade with the Los Angeles Galaxy that sent MF Chris Klein to Southern California.

RSL Trio Helps U.S. U-20s Tune up for World Cup with 2-1 Win over Chile
The three-man Real Salt Lake contingent of MF Freddy Adu, GK Chris Seitz, and D/M Nathan Sturgis all earned starting appearances for the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team in a 2-1 win over Chile last Saturday afternoon at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Adu would be the offensive catalyst for the USA, scoring the squad's opening goal in the 34th minute and assisting on FW Robbie Rogers's 77th minute game-winner, while Seitz and Sturgis would go the full 90 minutes in a physical affair that marked the team's final preparation match for the upcoming 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.

The U.S. team will head north to Montreal on Tuesday in preparation for their tournament opener this Saturday, June 30, against South Korea at Olympic Stadium (3:00 p.m. MT kick-off, live on ESPNU). The USA will continue play in the tournament's tough Group D next Tuesday, July 3, against Poland in Montreal (5:45 MT; live on ESPNU/Galavision) before traveling to Ottawa to wrap up pool play against tournament favorite Brazil on Friday, July 6 (5:45 MT; live on ESPNU/Galavision). MF Duke Hashimoto to Miss Rest of 2007 with Torn Left ACL
Real Salt Lake announced last Friday that MF Duke Hashimoto suffered a tear of his left anterior cruciate ligament during training last week, an injury that will force the second-year player to sit out the remainder of Real Salt Lake's 2007 campaign. Hashimoto is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair the tear later this week. The 22 year-old attack-minded midfielder has yet to see action in an MLS regular season contest, but has been a regular for Real Salt Lake during international friendly, MLS Reserve Division, and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup affairs since joining the squad via trade from the Columbus Crew last May.
