Major League Soccer is in its 20th season and that means teams that have been around from the start have played quite a few times.
As it turns out, one of the games that is featured during Heineken Rivalry Week has been the one MLS fans have seen the most over the last 20 years.
The New York Red Bulls and D.C. United have faced off a total of 78 times, the most in MLS history. D.C. United hold the decided edge in the series, winning 40 of their 78 games against New York, with 12 games ending in a draw.
They are set to rehash that rivalry on Sunday (7 pm ET; FOX Sports 1/FOX Deportes/FOX Sports GO/TSN2) in a battle of the East's top two teams. One other rivalry week matchup that places in the top 10 is the LA Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes who are set to meet at Avaya Stadium on Friday night (11 pm; UniMás/UnivisionDeportes.com)
