A Senate hearing on soccer?

Yep, it actually happened on Wednesday for the first time ever. And you can watch the entire thing.

The Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance and Data Security held an inquiry on the topic of the FIFA scandal which erupted when US federal officials indicted several soccer executives, including FIFA officials, back in May. The hearing was titled: "Examining the Governance and Integrity of International Soccer."

The world governing body and the widespread calls for its reform were the primary topic of discussion, involving testimony from US Soccer Federation CEO and Secretary General Dan Flynn, investigative journalist Andrew Jennings, Fairfax Group CEO and president Michael Hershman and Amnesty International advocacy director for the Middle East and North Africa, Sunjeev Bery.
