No one expected mid-table Utrecht to give much trouble to the No. 2 Eredivisie team and perennial powers Ajax on Sunday.
But USMNT forward Rubio Rubin wasn't following the script.
In the 35th minute he executed the perfect shot to halve a 2-0 deficit and get Utrecht back in the game at the Amsterdam ArenA (WATCH it below).
The strike, Rubin's second tally in 13 Eredivisie appearances, comes just two weekends after he netted his first-ever Eredivisie goal against NAC Breda. But it will only serve as consolation on Sunday -- Utrecht lost 3-1.
