Wonder what is going through the mind of a player on the verge of making history for their country at the World Cup?

Peru is making their first appearance on the world stage in 36 years and a pair of Major League Soccer players — Orlando City SC midfielder Yoshi Yotun and Portland Timbers midfielder Andy Polo — are expected to play a big role.

Here’s an interview with Yotun leading up to his departure for Russia where he talks about his feeling leading up to the tournament and the difficulty of playing in Group C with pre-Cup favorites France as well as Denmark and Australia.

Polo has impressed in the first half of his first MLS season. Polo has found memories of the moment Peru qualified after defeating New Zealand in an intercontinental playoff. See what the Timbers have to say about Polo and what he thinks about representing his country at the World Cup.
