Wait, wait -- don't foam at the mouth just yet. It's not going to happen during this summer transfer window. Despite rumors, the USMNT player and Club América star is staying put at his top Mexican team, and he's not headed to a US club team--yet.
"We were looking for something for him, since he asked to be let go because of his lack of activity," said team president Ricardo Pelaez, according to FutbolMLS. "Finally we talked to him, and he's ready to stay with us for at least another six months. If he wants to leave after that, we'll find him a team."
And that team could indeed be in MLS, Alvarado himself admitted. "Right now, I'm completely with this team, and I'm ready to fight for my spot here," he told FutbolMLS. "We'll see what happens in the future. I'm open to the possibility of coming to MLS."
