Four MLS players have been included in the Venezuela squad that will compete in the Copa America in Brazil next month.

Headlining the group is reigning MLS Golden Boot and MVP winner Josef Martinez of Atlanta United (pictured above). He’ll also be joined by Real Salt Lake winger Jefferson Savarino, D.C. United regular Junior Moreno and LA Galaxy defender Rolf Feltscher.

La Vinotinto have been drawn into Group A in this year’s edition of the South American championship. They’ll open their tournament vs. Peru on June 15 in Porto Alegre, then face the host nation in Salvador on June 18 before meeting Bolivia in Belo Horizonte on June 22. The top two finishers in the group and possibly the third-placed side will advance to the eight-team knockout phase.

The knockout stages open on June 27 and lead up to the final on July 7. MLS is taking an international break during the Gold Cup group stage from June 9-21.

Venezuela have never won Copa America; their best finish was fourth place in the 2011 edition. La Vinotinto will meet the US national team in a friendly on June 9 in Cincinnati (2 pm ET | FOX).
