A Canadian rivalry is renewed Friday night when the Vancouver Whitecaps host Toronto FC at BC Place.

The Whitecaps (4-6-5) are enjoying a good run of form lately, picking up points in six of their last seven games, including a 2-1 win over FC Dallas at home Saturday. Ali Adnan and Lucas Venuto provided the goals 10 minutes apart in the first half.

Toronto FC (5-6-2) are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 home loss to the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, their fourth loss in the last five games without a win. Richie Lareya opened the scoring for the Reds with his first MLS goal, but Chris Wondolowski responded with a brace to lift the visiting Quakes.

The last meeting at BC Place was the opening leg of last year's Canadian Championship, a 2-2 draw that led the way for Toronto FC to win their seventh Voyageurs Cup and third in a row, beating the 'Caps 7-4 on aggregate.
