USMNT's Cameron Carter-Vickers attracts AFC Bournemouth bid, according to reports

Cameron Carter-Vickers - Luton Town - vs Reading

Numerous British news reports indicate newly relegated English League Championship side AFC Bournemouth have made a bid to Tottenham Hotspur for a permanent transfer for US men's national team defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The 22-year-old center back has spent each of last three seasons on loan with a Championship side, having appeared for Ipswich, Sheffield United, Swansea, Stoke City and Luton Town across that span. He has a total of 92 appearances in the English second tier.

Bournemouth have some money to spend after completing several high-profile, outgoing transfers following their relegation from the Premier League. They are believed to want Carter-Vickers for a permanent deal though could also be amenable to another loan if a transfer can't be secured.

Carter-Vickers is out of contract with Spurs after the coming season. Although he has eight appearances for the US, he would not fall under the Allocation Ranking mechanism should an MLS team take interest. There have been few concrete links to an MLS side over the years, however.
