US Soccer to reconsider holding events in N.C., per The Washington Post

Sunil Gulati - US Soccer president

US Soccer will reconsider holding matches or other events in North Carolina in the wake of new state legislation that requires transgender people to use public bathrooms that match their birth certificates, according to comments made by federation president Sunil Gulati to TheWashington Post’s Steven Goff.

“Given the legislation, I’ve asked the people who handle our games to reconsider,” Gulati told Goff.

The North Carolina legislature introduced and passed the law in a one-day special session last week.
