Update on Inter Miami CF Fort Lauderdale Stadium, Training Complex construction

Inter Miami CF have raised the roof — literally.

The expansion side has taken an important step forward ahead of their MLS debut in March by installing the first roof structure for the Fort Lauderdale Stadium and Training Complex Friday.

More than 200 construction professionals accomplished that milestone just weeks after the stadium went vertical with steel columns. That was followed by instillation of parts of the secondary frame of the metal building and the horizontal structural members designed to provide lateral support for wall panels.

The stadium will be a temporary home for Inter Miami until the club’s Miami stadium is completed. The 18,000-seat Fort Lauderdale Stadium will be the permanent home to the club’s USL League One side.

The Training Complex, also in the 46-acre complex, is taking shape. The 50,000 square foot building, which will be the training facility for Inter Miami’s MLS team, the League One affiliate and the club’s academy, continues to undergo steel, concrete, and roofing installations.
