Tyler Adams - New York Red Bulls - November 29, 2018

New York Red Bulls' product Tyler Adams got the starting nod for RB Leipzig Sunday in the Bundesliga club's second game since his arrival from MLS.

It went about as well as the 19-year-old from Wappingers Falls, N.Y., could have imagined.

Adams was the same ball-winning machine against Fortuna Dusseldorf that he was for two seasons with the Red Bulls, helping Leipzig suffocate the hosts for long stretches in an emphatic 4-0 away victory.

Elsewhere, 18-year-old former Vancouver Whitecaps phenom Alphonso Davies made his Bundesliga debut in a late cameo during Bayern Munich's 4-1 home win over VfB Stuttgart.

For Leipzig, Yussuf Poulsen hit an early brace and Ibrahima Konate added a goal as they stormed ton a 3-0 advantage by the 16th minute. Konrad Laimer's 68th-minute strike sealed a result that took RBNY's sister club up to fourth in the table.

The away victory was Leipzig's first in the league since a 3-0 triumph at Hertha Berlin in early November. And Adams certainly made the case for more time going forward in the second half of the German season.

In Munich, Davies entered in the 86th minute moments after Robert Lewandowski's goal put the hosts three goals in front at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern remain in second in the table, six points behind leaders Dortmund with 15 matches to go.
