Tim Howard in Everton vs. West Ham

This might finally be happening, folks. Jeff Carlisle reported today on ESPNFC that Tim Howard could soon be on his way to the Colorado Rapids.

The MLS rumors about the USMNT legend and current Everton goalkeeper started back in January, when Colorado got the top spot in the league's allocation order. Talks have allegedly dragged on since then. But now, according to Carlisle, the Rapids' general manager, Tim Hinchey, flew to England last week to finalize the deal.

Right now--reportedly--the agreement is that Howard will finish out the Premier League season with Everton, and then join Colorado during the MLS summer transfer window.

The transaction would make Howard the team's second Designated Player signing this year. The first came in February, when the Rapids signed Albanian attacker Shkëlzen Gashi from Swiss club FC Basel.
