Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco named to FourFourTwo's annual Best-100 list

The Atomic Ant honors just keep rolling in.

On the same day that Sebastian Giovinco was announced Landon Donovan MLS MVP, the Toronto FC and Italian national team ace was named to FourFourTwo’s Best 100 list.

The soccer publication described Giovinco’s epic debut MLS season as such: “When Yaya Toure powers past defenders, he looks like a 16-year-old playing in an under-13 game. In the 2015 MLS season, Giovinco resembled the 13-year-old academy wunderkind embarrassing his mates’ dads in the garden. The Atomic Ant’s debut MLS season blew away fellow newbies Kaka, Pirlo, Lampard, Gerrard, Drogba and Villa.”

The only point of contention with Giovinco being named to the annual list is where he landed, at No. 94. The most combined goals (22) and assists (16) in league history might just warrant him being a bit higher on the list, which was compiled with the input from the magazine’s worldwide stable of soccer journalists and hours of debate, according to FourFourTwo.
