Toronto FC's Richie Laryea advocates for racial change: "I’ve personally had enough"

Add Richie Laryea to the growing list of Major League Soccer players calling for racial change following the protests sparked throughout the world after the killing of George Floyd.


In a Twitter post, the Toronto FC defender said he’s not usually vocal about racial injustice, but “from all of the recent events happening around us, I’ve personally had enough.”


Born in Canada, Laryea said he spent six years living in the United States where he saw the country’s beauty, but also what he called “a very ugly side of it.”
