Toronto FC's Drew Moor rolls with a Maple Leafs goal during interview

Drew Moor - Toronto FC - isolated

The recent international break allowed the teams remaining in the Audi 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs to take in some non-soccer moments when not on the training pitch.

In Toronto alone, Sebastian Giovinco sat courtside at a Toronto Raptors game this week, and teammate Drew Moor attended a Toronto Maple Leafs game.

In the latter's case, the occasion included one of the great reaction gifs of recent times, with Moor showing enthusiasm for a Leafs goal during an interview.

Moor, who has been known to attend NHL games from time to time in the previous cities he played in, was asked in TFC training on Friday about wearing rookie Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews' jersey.

“Absolutely, [it was my choice to wear the Matthews jersey],” said Moor with a laugh.

And if you're wondering if Moor is focused on the Eastern Conference Championship, which begins on Tuesday as Toronto FC take on the Montreal Impact (8 pm ET, ESPN | TSN1/3, RDS in Canada), the veteran defender noted the international break gave the team a chance to breathe ahead of the next round.

“Coming into training this week, the mentality was a little bit different, a little quieter, we were a little more focused," he said. "It's an important week of training, everybody has [the match in Montreal] on their minds. It's going to be fun.”
