Some weeks, there are so many prolific attacking performances from strikers that it can be a challenge to give them all the recognition they deserve in the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi. In Week 15, however, that was more the case with midfielders across the league.

It seemed that nearly every big result came as a result of a big performance from a deeper lying player, be it Alexandru Mitrita's second brace in as many games for New York City FC, Alejandro Pozuelo's game-winning heroics for Toronto FC, or Atlanta United scoring three of their four goals from wingers Jon Gallagher and Brooks Lennon.

That's reflected in this week's Starting XI, a 3-5-2 that admittedly could look a bit more like a Steve Sampson-esque 3-6-1 depending on how you define Diego Rossi's contributions for LAFC. What it lacks in conventionality it makes up for in danger — center back Henry Kessler is the only field player starter who didn't find the net this week.

Team of the Week (3-5-2, right to left): Joe Willis (NSH) - Anton Tinnerholm (NYC), Henry Kessler (NE), Marcos Lopez (SJ) - Brooks Lennon (ATL), Joao Paulo (SEA), Alexandru Mitrita (NYC), Alejandro Pozuelo (TOR), Jon Gallagher (ATL) - Alan Pulido (SKC), Diego Rossi (LAFC)

Coach: Oscar Pareja (ORL)

Bench:Dayne St. Clair (MIN) - Ryan Hollingshead (DAL), Lewis Morgan (MIA), Junior Urso (ORL), Andres Perea (ORL), Cristian Roldan (SEA), Bradley Wright-Phillips (LAFC)
