Tata Martino: MLS will have the same relevance as the NBA one day

Tata Martino - Mexico - Press conference

Tata Martino’s tenure in MLS only last two years, but he developed a clear admiration and respect for the league. The former Atlanta United manager and 2018 MLS Cup winner has high hopes for what MLS can become, too.

“At some point MLS will have the same relevance as NBA,” the Mexican national team manager recently told TUDN. “It's a great spectacle.”

MLS is nearing the end of its 24th season, with Decision Day presented by AT&T right around the corner, paving the way for the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs. As for the NBA, it’s about to begin its 74th season in league history.
