Things are not going well in Seattle. The back-to-back Western Conference champions and 2016 MLS champions have won just two of their first 11 matches and currently sit in 11th place in the West.

Brian Schmetzer's team has scored just seven goals this season, by far the fewest of any team in the league, and started right back Kelvin Leerdam in an attacking position on Saturday. Of course they have dealt with a massive amount of injuries, including the loss of Jordan Morris for the season.

While general manager Garth Lagerwey says a big signing is in the offing this summer, will it be too late? They have games in hand on every team in front of them in the standings but their 0.73 points per game average is well behind the Dynamo's 1.38 average, who currently sit in sixth place in ppg. gives them a 34 percent chance to make the playoffs, the eighth-best odds for a West team.

Of course, they have beaten the odds before but one has to wonder if the worst start in their history will lead to too much of an uphill climb.
