New head coach Remi Garde's connections in France may soon lead to moves for the Montreal Impact.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Impact are interested in signing French center back William Remy. The 26-year-old Remy is currently on the books of Ligue 1 side Montpellier, but has not been able to get on the field for the first team this season.
While the link is just a rumor as of now, the Impact could very well be in the market for a central defender given that they recently traded veteran Laurent Ciman to Los Angeles FC.
Additionally, Montreal are reportedly looking to bring three unspecified youth players from Lyon. Garde, who was appointed head coach of the Impact last month, previously coached at Lyon.
