Miguel Almiron on ball at Orlando

After a report out of England that suggests Newcastle United may be pulling back in its pursuit of Atlanta United talisman Miguel Almiron, there is chatter that Spanish side Real Betis could swoop for the talented Paraguayan.

According to Spanish outlet Gol Digital, Betis may be set to succeed in securing the 25-year-old's rights where clubs like Newcastle and Arsenal have been discouraged by Atlanta's asking price.

The Seville-based side may be encouraged to continue to try and negotiate that price down, Gol Digital asserts, because of Almiron's desire to move to Europe.
