TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
Orlando City SC is one of two MLS clubs in the running to sign Werder Bremen midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic on a free transfer this summer, according to a rumor coming out of Germany.
Junuzovic, an Austrian international, has been with the Bunesliga club since 2012, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season. With the two parties yet to agree to an extension, fan site Mein Werder is linking Junuzovic to an MLS move.
However, Bremen manager Florian Kohfeldt is still hopeful his club can reach an agreement to bring Junuzovic back next season, according to German online outlet Fussball Transfers.
With a reputation as a set piece specialist, Junuzovic has 21 Bundesliga goals since joining Bremen in 2012, including a career-best six during the 2014-15 season.
He would be yet another addition to an Orlando City side that made more than a dozen of them following the completion of the 2017 season.
