Rumor Central: FC Dallas' Fabian Castillo linked with Premier League club Swansea City

The recognition is coming fast and furious for FC Dallas winger Fabián Castillo.

With a first MLS All-Star selection under his belt, theNo. 1 ranking in MLSsoccer.com's 24 Under 24 series secured and a debut for the Colombian national team booked, Castillo is now being linked to the English Premier League, as Swansea City are reportedly considering a move for the 23-year-old.

FC Dallas President Dan Hunt addressed the reports in a Monday Q&A on the team's Facebook page, saying, "We have Fabian Castillo signed through 2019 and we are not interested in selling key pieces of this franchise. We are trying to build a champion for many years to come starting with one this year. Fabian is a terrific player and I can promise you this isn't the last rumor we will hear. I hope he gets meaningful minutes tomorrow for the Colombian national team against Uruguay."

Signed by FC Dallas a Young Designated Player prior to the 2011 season, Castillo inked a new MLS contract in February. After making his international debut for Colombia in a Sept. 8 friendly against Peru at Red Bull Arena, he was called up for this week's World Cup qualifiers and made his competitive debut as a substitute in Thursday's 2-0 win over Peru. Colombia play at Uruguay on Tuesday.

Castillo set career highs in 2014 with 10 goals and 4 assists in MLS play, adding four goals in US Open Cup play. He has already posted 9 goals and 8 assists for FC Dallas in 2015, helping them to first place in the Western Conference.
