RSL in the community: Oct. 17-20

SALT LAKE CITY (Tuesday, October 16, 2007) - As its 2007 season winds to a close this weekend in Colorado, Real Salt Lake's players and coaches will be found across the Salt Lake City area, with a pair of Red Ribbon Week assemblies at local elementary schools and a special Wednesday edition of the KALL 700 Sports "RSL Coach's Corner" highlighting the list of events in the community. Who: DF Chris Wingert


When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 1:30-2:00 p.m.


Where: Oakdale Elementary School; 1900 Creek Road in Sandy


What: RSL DF Chris Wingert will be speaking about the benefits of living a drug-free and healthy lifestyle in addition to introducing the Chick-fil-A challenge during a Red Ribbon Week assembly at Oakdale Elementary School in Sandy.


Who: D/M Nathan Sturgis


When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 2:30-3:00 p.m.


Where: Canyon Rim Academy; 3005 S. 2900 East in Salt Lake City


What: RSL and U.S. Youth international D/M Nathan Sturgis will be speaking at a Red Ribbon Week assembly at Canyon Rim Academy on Wednesday. Sturgis will talk about the importance of living a drug-free and healthy lifestyle to the academy's K-6th grade students.


Who: Head Coach Jason Kreis, MF Carey Talley and DF Ritchie Kotschau


When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.


Where: Jerry Seiner Downtown Salt Lake GM Dealership; 1530 S. 500 West in Salt Lake City


What: A pair of 10-year MLS veterans - Carey Talley and Ritchie Kotschau - will join Head Coach Jason Kreis tomorrow night for a special Wednesday evening edition of the "Jerry Seiner RSL Coaches Corner" on KALL 700 Sports. The radio voice of RSL, Bill Riley, will host the show on location at the Iceberg Café at Jerry Seiner's Downtown location from 6:00-7:00 p.m. MT. As always, fans are encouraged to head down Jerry Seiner's to ask their questions to the RSL trio in person and enjoy the delicious dining fare only the Iceberg Café can offer.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. MT


Where: Real Sports kiosk at Fashion Place Mall; 6191 S. State Street in Murray


What: RSL fan favorite Atiba Harris will be appearing at the Real Sports merchandise kiosk on Wednesday evening. Take this opportunity to get an autograph and photo with Harris while you shop for your winter RSL gear.

Where: Chick-fil-A restaurant; 10090 S. State St. in Sandy


What: An RSL player will be appearing at the Chick-fil-A in Sandy to visit with fans, sign autographs and take some pictures in advance of this weekend's Rocky Mountain Cup showdown in Denver.
