TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Roster update

Romain Alessandrini will not be returning to the LA Galaxy for the 2020 season, the French midfielder announced via Instagram post.

Alessandrini only played in five MLS games last season as he dealt with a meniscus injury that kept him out for the bulk of the regular season. He returned during the 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, adding two assists in 49 minutes before the Galaxy bowed out in a Western Conference Semifinal to rival LAFC

His contract expired at the end of the campaign, and while the sides were initially reportedly in negotiations for a return, Alessandrini confirmed his exit with Monday's post.

Prior to last season's injury-shortened campaign, Alessandrini established himself as one of the league's most dangerous attackers, racking up 24 goals and 21 assists in 50 starts from 2017-2018. Watch some of his best goals below:

Before moving to MLS, the 30-year-old did two stints in Ligue 1 in his native France, first with Rennes from 2012-2014 before making 54 appearances for Marseille from 2014-2017.
