Reserves: FC Dallas 4, Revolution 0

FRISCO, Texas - The FC Dallas Reserves defeated the New England Revolution Reserves 4-0 on Sunday morning at Pizza Hut Park, matching the score of the first team game on Saturday evening. Forward Dominic Oduro's recorded the first FCD hat trick in Reserve Division play following midfielder Dax McCarty opening score. The win was FCD's second straight, and increased their record to 2-2-1 (7 pts) while the Revs fall to 0-2-1 (1 pt) on the season.

FC Dallas dominated play from the onset, nearly duplicating the first teams by scoring three goals in the first 30 minutes. In the 11th minute, forward Roberto Mina went straight at goal just left of center and hit a shot that bounced off the left post and back across the box. Dax McCarty, who started at right midfielder, had followed the play and hit a first time shot into the back of the empty net from 10 yards out to open the scoring.

Twelve minutes later, center back Clarence Goodson looked downfield to see Dominic Oduro just past midfield with one man near him. Goodson lifted 40 yard pass beyond the defense and Oduro sped by his mark, took two touches and placed his shot from just inside the area to the left side of the net for the 2-0 lead.

FCD increased the lead to 3-0 in the 30 minute. After winning a ball on the right side, McCarty took the ball to the endline before sending a low cross as the keeper came out to cover. Oduro made the diagonal run to the near post and knocked the ball across for his second of the day.

The Hoops kept the pressure on, and Oduro and Marcos Charras had great opportunities to add to the score right before the half.

Four minutes after the break, Oduro sealed his hat trick following a great combination of passing from Arturo Alvarez and Aaron Pitchkolan. Alvarez advanced a quick ball into the center of the box to Pitchkolan who was running from right to left. 'Pitch' held the ball for a second and backheeled a pass to the onrushing Oduro, who touched the ball to his right before ripping the ball past the keeper.

The FCD Reserves will next face the Columbus Crew Reserves on Sunday, June 4 at Pizza Hut Park. New England hosts the Houston Dynamo Reserves on Sunday, May 28.
