Peruvian powers Alianza Lima are pondering a move for Vancouver Whitecaps attacker Yordy Reyna, according to a report from Libero, a sports news outlet in the South American nation.

Reyna, 26, is a product of the club's youth system and made his professional debut there before moving to Austria's RB Salzburg on a seven-figure transfer in 2013. He's been with the 'Caps since 2017 and notched seven goals and one assist during Vancouver's difficult 2019, making him the club's second-highest scorer behind Fredy Montero.

Having qualified for Copa Libertadores by virtue of their performance in the 2019 Liga 1 campaign, where they finished as runners-up behind league champions Binacional, Alianza are seeking to reinforce their squad for 2020. Reyna signed a new deal with the Whitecaps a year ago with club contract options for this year and next, so it will likely take a hefty offer to separate the 'Caps from their creative, dynamic Peruvian international.
