Another player could be making his way from Uruguay to MLS, according to a report.

Uruguayan journalist Wilson Mendez tweeted on Tuesday that 21-year-old center back Yeferson Quintana is ā€œcloseā€ to moving to MLS from PeƱarol.

Quintana made 22 appearances for PeƱarol in 2017, scoring three goals and starting 17 times to help the club to the Uruguayan Primera title. Heā€™s made 26 league appearances and played 29 times for the club in all competitions since turning pro in 2016. He doesnā€™t have any experience at any level for any of Uruguayā€™s national teams.

Diego Rossi already made the move from PeƱarol to MLS this winter, with the 19-year-old forward signing a Designated Player deal with LAFC in December.
