New Columbus Crew signing Romain Gall in action for US

A Swedish news source is reporting that 23-year-old attacking midfielder Romain Gall, who played for Columbus Crew SC during the 2014 season, may be headed back to MLS. The fotbollskanalen site, which also notes interest in Gall's services from Swedish superclub Malmö FF, cites a Sundsvall paper hinting that discussions are still in the pre-bidding stage.

The Paris-born Gall, who has dual-national status for the United States and France, played for academy teams at D.C. United and Real Salt Lake, starting in 2009, before moving to FC Lorient in 2011. He returned stateside in August 2014 to play for Columbus, getting action in three matches that year before seeing time with USL side Austin Aztex while on loan. Since 2016, Gall has been playing professionally in Sweden.

Gall also featured for the U.S. U-20 national team in 2014 and 2015.
