Earlier this week, Seattle Sounders GM Garth Lagerwey said club legend and captain Ozzie Alonso had earned the right to explore his options free agency. It hasn't taken long for the veteran midfielder to find some suitors.

Per a report from Seattle-based Futbol MLS reporter Niko Moreno, Orlando City is among the clubs interested in signing Alonso. Expansion club FC Cincinnati, mentioned in the initial report, denied pursuing the Cuban midfielder.

This year, the 33-year-old appeared in 25 games (21 starts) and enjoyed a strong run of form that coincided with Seattle's 15-2-2 run in the second half of the regular season. He started the last 15 of those games and played all 210 minutes across both legs of the Sounders' Western Conference Semifinal series against Portland.

Alonso has been a part of the Seattle Sounders since their inaugural MLS season in 2009. He has made 277 regular-season appearances for the club, helping them to a playoff appearance in all 10 of their MLS seasons to date. He was part of the squad that won 2016 MLS Cup title, and also helped the Sounders win the 2014 Supporters' Shield and U.S. Open Cup titles in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014.
