Omar Browne - Montreal Impact - Close up

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Omar Browne has had a whirlwind year, but it looks like he's set for a new development.

Panamanian outlet JM Deportes reported on Friday that Browne is set for an exit to Panama from the Montreal Impact "by decision of the head coach."

This report of an exit for the attacker was corroborated by Montreal-based analyst Vincent Destouches, but he said the departure was hastened on the player's side.

The 25-year-old joined Montreal in April on loan from Panamanian outfit CAI. He emerged as a breakout star of the 2019 Concacaf Champions League with sparkling performances in the tournament against Toronto FC and Sporting KC, before joining the Impact, where he scored the winning goal in his MLS debut, en route to posting two goals and two assists in 10 MLS appearances.

Browne hasn't started a league game since early June, however, and has not appeared in the last two matches for the Impact.
