One of the breakout stars of the 2019 Concacaf Champions League could be bound for MLS, according to a new report.

Panamanian outlet El Marcador reported on Monday that the Montreal Impact are going to sign forward Omar Browne on loan.

Browne, 24, wreaked havoc in CCL play against MLS opposition this spring, scoring two goals for tournament debutant Independiente de la Chorrera to shock Toronto FC in the opening round, then added an assist in a home leg win over Sporting Kansas City in the quarterfinal round before CAI bowed out of the tournament.

The Panamanian international has spent his whole career in his native country to date, winning the top flight title with CAI last year, as well as with Plaza Amador in 2016, and he has five CCL appearances under his belt. He's also played for Sporting San Miguelito and Chorrillo in his career. In 2014, he trialed with the Seattle Sounders, but was not signed.
