TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Perhaps coveted Columbus Crew SC striker Ola Kamara will land somewhere much further afield than another MLS club.

A report Tuesday from Metro New York's Kristian Dyer indicates a mid-table team in Spain's La Liga could be interested in Kamara, whom MLSsoccer.com's Sam Stejskal reported earlier his month is looking to leave Columbus along with Justin Meram.

According to a statement from head coach Gregg Berhalter early this month, Crew SC appear open to moving either player for the right offer.

"Any offer for Justin or Ola would have to significantly benefit the club considering they are two of the most productive offensive players in the league and have multiple years remaining on their contracts with Crew SC,” Berhalter said.

The 28-year-old Kamara, who has 34 goals in 59 league games for Columbus had also been linked to the Colorado Rapids last week.

Prior to joining Columbus, Kamara had played with a number of clubs in his native Norway, as well as Austria Wien of the Austrian Bundesliga and 1860 Munich of Germany's 2. Bundesliga, before moving to MLS ahead of the 2016 campaign.
