Bryan Reynolds - FC Dallas - 2019

UPDATE, Dec. 27: Juventus continues to look like the likely destination for Bryan Reynolds, with Italian journalist Romeo Agresti giving the latest update on the ongoing transfer rumors surrounding the FC Dallas Homegrown in a Sunday report.

Agresti echoed previous reports that Juventus' plan for Reynolds would be to loan him out initially, adding that they would bring him back to the club before the end of their Serie A season. A previous report from SkyItalia said that loan destination would be fellow Italian side Cagliari.

The sweepstakes for Bryan Reynolds continue, with multiple reports on Saturday emerging regarding the potential overseas suitors for the highly touted FC Dallas Homegrown product.

According to one report, from Italian journalist and AS Roma insider John Solano, it's Juventus that have re-emerged as the frontrunners for Reynolds' services after Roma initially looked to have the inside track. MLSsoccer.com's Tom Bogert reported last week that Roma made a $9.2 million bid for Reynolds.

Juventus and Roma are two of the three clubs that have been consistently reported to be attempting to make a deal for Reynolds, with the other being Belgian side Club Brugge. Juventus were previously reported as the top contenders for his services by 3rd Degree's Buzz Carrick last month.

SkyItalia also reported on Saturday that Juventus' ultimate plan would be to loan Reynolds to fellow Serie A side Cagliari to accommodate not having a non-European roster spot, which would put Reynolds under the tutelage of a respected manager in Eusebio Di Francesco.

Reynolds' destination has become one of the biggest stories of the MLS offseason as he continues his ascent from Dallas academy prospect to potentially one of the biggest-money transfers in league history. The dynamic fullback became FC Dallas' starting right back after Reggie Cannon departed to Portuguese side Boavista. Reynolds was a standout performer in his 14 starts, leading to the ongoing offseason rumor mill regarding an overseas move.
