Sunday at StubHub Center, sharp observers spotted former Germany and US national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann seated next to LA Galaxy President Chris Klein. Though the Galaxy are in a transition following the resignation of Sigi Schmid, ESPN's Jeff Carlisle reported that Klinsmann "isn't a candidate for either the GM or head coaching positions."
An LA Galaxy source confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that Klinsmann, who has attended more than 20 Galaxy matches during the past two seasons, is not a candidate. Carlisle also reported that Klinsmann and Klein live near one another and they, as well as their children, are friends. Klinsmann most recently coached the USMNT from 2011-16, including at the 2014 World Cup.
