Will Vaclav Hladky be a keeper for the Houston Dynamo? Reports from the UK are linking the St. Mirren goalkeeper with the Dynamo.

According to the Daily Record, the Dynamo had a $266,499 bid rejected from the Scottish Premiership side and have reportedly upped their bid to nearly $400,000.

The 29-year-old has been St. Mirren’s regular goalkeeper, playing in 26 games, since signing from Slovan Liberec in January on an 18-month deal.

The 6-foot-2 Czech native, who has competed for numerous Czech youth national teams throughout his career, started his professional career with Czech side Zbrojovka Brno B before a pair of year-long loans with MSK Břeclav.

Hladky made 42 appearances in three years with Zbrojovka Brno before a move to Slovan Liberec.

New Dynamo coach Tab Ramos is seeking a replacement for Joe Willis, who was traded to Nashville SC last month. Backup Tyler Deric had his option declined following the season.
