TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
Jimmy Marin appears to be Major League Soccer bound, but which club lands the 21-year-old pacey Costa Rican midfielder remains a mystery.
Marin is on his way out of Herediano, the club’s general manager, Jafet Soto, told Costa Rica’s La Nacion, but not before the club faces Atlanta United in the Concacaf Champions League later next month.
Soto said the negotiations for Marin, who has five goals in 46 appearances for Herediano after starting his professional career with Deportivo Saprissa, are at “70 percent," though he declined to identify the club.
Marín, who made his senior national team debut for Costa Rica against Japan in September, will not be part of the Ticos squad that takes on the US men’s national team Saturday (3:30 pm | FOX, UniMás, UDN) at Avaya Stadium. He is sidelined with a muscular tear.
