SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake, Major League Soccer's 12th team, announced today that the 2005 season media accreditation process has begun. Members of the media who wish to apply
should fill out the online form
after 3:00 p.m. MT on Thursday, Feb. 24. All applications are due by Friday, March 11, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. MT.
Once approved, RSL season media credentials will be available prior to Real Salt Lake's home opener against the Colorado Rapids on April 16. If there are any questions regarding the season media accreditation process members of the media should contact Real Salt Lake Media Relations Department.
Real Salt Lake will play their home opener against Rocky Mountain rivals, Colorado Rapids in Rice-Eccles Stadium at 1:00 p.m. MT. RSL will be lead into action by MLS all-time leading scorer Jason Kreis, and national team members Eddie Pope and Clint Mathis as they take the field for its first home game in franchise history.
Real Salt Lake season ticket packages for the inaugural 2005 season at Rice-Eccles Stadium are now on sale. The RSL 2005 season ticket package features 20 games, including all 16 MLS regular season games and four special bonus games. Real Salt Lake's season ticket pricing consists of a Youth (15 and younger) and an Adult in four price levels. Prices for the 2005 season ticket packages are $200 adult ($180 youth) for the North Goal, $300 adult ($240 youth) for the Corner Flag, $400 ($320 youth) for East Sideline and $500 ($400 youth) for VIP seats. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the RSL Ticket Office at 515 South 700 East, #2R, SLC, UT 84102, by logging onto www.RealSaltLake.com or by contacting the Real Salt Lake Ticket Office at (866) 9-SOCCER.
