RBNY's Kaku suspended two more games; Disciplinary Committee fines two

One player has been suspended by the league for actions during Week 7 of the 2019 MLS regular season. In addition, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined two players following Week 8 of the MLS 2019 MLS regular season and issued one warning for mass confrontation.


Kaku reckless misconduct

MLS has issued New York Red Bulls midfielder Kaku an additional two-game suspension (three games total) and fined him an undisclosed amount for reckless misconduct of kicking the ball into the sideline stands. The incident took place during second-half stoppage time of the Red Bulls' match against Sporting Kansas City on April 14. Kaku, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on April 20 against the New England Revolution. He will serve his additional two-game suspension on April 27 against FC Cincinnati and on May 4 against the LA Galaxy.


Sporting KC-NY Red Bulls mass confrontation

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found both Sporting KC and the Red Bulls have in violation of the league's mass confrontation policy. The incident took place during second-half stoppage time of their match on April 14. Both clubs will be issued a warning for their first violation of the season.


Diallo simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found Montreal Impact defender Zakaria Diallo guilty of simulation/embellishment and fined him an undisclosed amount. The incident took place during the 62nd minute of Montreal's match against the Philadelphia Union on April 20.


Price failure to leave the field

The Disciplinary Committee has found Colorado Rapids midfielder Jack Price guilty of failing to leave the field in an orderly manner following his red card in the 88th minute of Colorado's match against the Chicago Fire on April 20. As a result, Price has been fined an undisclosed amount.
