MLS CUP PLAYOFFS QUOTE SHEET
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2007 - KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 1, CHIVAS USA 0

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO

On the game:
"Whenever you win a playoff game it is a great result."

On the return leg:
"Before next week we are going to look at the tape and improve on the things we didn't do well. We are going to expect a team to come out and put us on our heels, so we have to be sharp not only defensively but in transition as well."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER DAVY ARNAUD

On the game:
"I saw (Brad) Guzan sort of favoring the other post so I decided to have a shot. It may have taken a deflection on the way past the wall, but I couldn't tell. Overall I think we played very well and got a good result. We know that they are a good team. They are Western Conference champions, and we will be ready for a tough game next week."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS GOALKEEPER KEVIN HARTMAN

On the game:
"They hit the ball from distance a few times, and really the balls were all over the shop. [Alex] Zotinca took a good shot from distance and all I could really do was parry it away. Then I had to get up to make another save. They are a great team, no matter who they have on the field, and we really respect what they do on offense and defense."

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH PREKI

On the game:
"I thought that we played well tonight. I think that we came out to win despite being without key players. I didn't go for the tie tonight. I went for the win. I thought it was good, we had to play a little different, but I thought it was good."

On injuries and return leg:
"I feel that we controlled most of the game tonight and am confident going back to LA. I don't know who will be available for next week's game, but I know we will handle whatever happens."

CHIVAS USA MIDFIELDER JESSE MARSCH

On the game: "We feel good about tonight's result. I thought we dominated the match. We were able to dictate the game the way we wanted. We didn't give them any chances tonight, and we were unfortunate that the free kick glanced off the wall."

CHIVAS USA GOALKEEPER BRAD GUZAN

On the game:
"I think we were unlucky to have the ball deflect off Paulo [Nagamura]'s face on the free kick. Other then that I thought we dominated the game. Look at the second half we dominated the possession. We created the majority of chances just couldn't put one in the net."
