The Athletic'sSam Stejskal later reported on a potential loan deal between the two clubs:
Mitrita joined NYCFC in February 2019 from Romanian side Universitatea Craiova for a reported $9 million transfer fee. The talented Romanian national team player, who typically plays wide left in an attacking front three for NYCFC, has four goals and two assists this year, with his four goals all coming in the last two matches against Inter Miami and FC Cincinnati.
