Kaku - New York Red Bulls - reacts after being sent off vs. Sporting KC

It proved to be one of the most talked about incidents from Sunday's Week 7 clash between Sporting Kansas City and the New York Red Bulls.

Moments after Gianluca Busio's 88th-minute equalizer for Sporting, play was stopped for a Sporting Kansas City throw-in when a visibly frustrated Kaku smashed a ball in the direction of the fieldboards and stands, a reaction which earned him a red card from referee Robert Sibiga:

Following the match, Kaku issued an apology for his actions via social media:

We hold everyone in our organization to a high standard of conduct. The matter will continue to be discussed internally and we will have no further comment at this time.
