Arnor Ingvi Traustason with Malmo - New England Revolution

The New England Revolution have acquired Iceland international winger Arnor Ingvi Traustason from Swedish side Malmo, the club announced Tuesday.

Traustason, 27, has spent the last few years with Malmo, where he had 17 goals and 20 assists in 107 appearances for the 2020 Allsvenskan champions. With Malmo having been regulars in European competitions, Traustason has plenty of experience in the Europa League.

“Arnór is a talented player who brings a great deal of experience at both the international and club levels to our roster,” sporting director & head coach Bruce Arena said in a club statement. “We’re excited to welcome him into the team and hope to get him integrated as quickly as possible."

Prior to joining Malmo, Traustason appeared for the likes of Austria's Rapid Vienna, Greece's AEK Athens and more. He has five goals in 36 appearances for the Iceland national team.

The winger joins an attacking group headlined by Designated Players Carles Gil, Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa
