Neely on title decider

TFC Academy Under-16s will win the Canadian Soccer League Reserve Division tonight if they get at least a point from their game at North York Astros. Kick off is 9:00 p.m. ET at Esther Shiner Stadium.

Under-16s Head Coach Stuart Neely admits the team has performed beyond expectations. "If you were to tell us at the start of the season that we would be in this position I would have been surprised because it is an adult league," said Neely. "Going into the last match tied for first position with a game in hand is a great position to be in."

TFC Academy Under-16s (12-2-1) are yet to concede a goal against North York Astros in the CSL Reserve Division this season. The teams have met three times with TFC coming out on top 1-0, 5-0 and 4-0. "North York have a very feisty, well organized team and they are one of the teams that has given us a problem at times this season. We're not going into tonight's game for a tie, we're going all out to win the match. We know we will be in for a very tough game but the boys will definitely be up for it."

"The boys have come a long way from the start of the season and we are very fortunate to have a good pool of players. We have done work in training that resembles game tactics and game situations and we have placed restrictions on them in training to get them used to the type of pressure that we expect during the games and they have responded very well to those situations."
